This is a peer-led badminton group for seniors that encourages physical activity and social engagement.
A drop-in program for seniors interested in meeting people from the community. Keep up with current news events by engaging in stimulating and interactive discussion on current issues that affect our community, our country and the world.
This is a low impact class for seniors that consists of muscle strengthening and flexibility exercises. Get fit, meet other seniors and have fun! Interested participants must register prior to attending – this is not a drop-in class.
Health Promotion Workshops
We offer a variety of workshops throughout the year that provide information and education for seniors on a variety of health and wellness issues. Upcoming topics and dates:
A health promotion program for Hispanic seniors from the community that promotes overall health and well-being through health education, physical activity, intellectual stimulation, community development and peer support.
SAGE (Seniors Acheiving Greater Esteem)
SAGE (Seniors Acheiving Greater Esteem) promotes the health and well-being of frail and/or isolated seniors by encouraging social engagement and independence. Interested participants must register prior to attending – this is not a drop-in class.
Stitches of Love Knitting Group
Knitters of all skill levels are welcome to come out and join our knitting group. All knitted items are donated to local shelters in the community.
Strong and Steady
Participants will have the opportunity to perform exercises with a physiotherapist and interact with other health care providers to share, learn and gather healthy tips.
